  • Vikings Revealed: Society, Literature and Archaeology
    Scandinavians of the Viking Age were supreme adventurers and colonists: this weekend covers all aspects of Viking culture to reveal the reasons for this success. Presenting the ‘whole Viking’ through literature, art, landscape and artefacts.
  • Palaeolithic Archaeology: Current Scientific Investigations
    Our current understanding of the Palaeolithic period would be not be possible without considerable input from many different sciences. This day school explores some of them, including zooarchaeology, radiometric dating methods, and genetics.
