    Human remains and preserved bodies are among the most fascinating of archaeological finds. This course will outline, through a series of case studies, the complex and diverse range of archaeological human remains from around the world.
  • Oxford Buildings in Context: Medieval Oxford
    The course will provide students with the background to understanding the medieval buildings of the city and university of Oxford. It will put the architecture and the society whose needs it reflected, into a wider context.
  • Italy Comes to England
    An examination of the development of architecture in the Italian Renaissance, led by designers such as Michelangelo and Palladio, in order to see how it influenced building in England, including the works of Inigo Jones and Christopher Wren.
  • Spartacus
    This course offers the opportunity to study one of Ancient History's most intriguing characters, Spartacus, within the context of the history and culture of Ancient Rome.
  • Skyscrapers
    Skyscrapers are a quintessential emblem of modernity. This course will explore the artistic, environmental, commercial and social implications of the skyscraper, and investigate how these buildings have revolutionized the urban experience.
