  • Introduction to Psychodynamic Counselling
    Based on psychoanalytic theory, the course introduces key dynamic concepts and practices, including self reflection, applied to the understanding of emotional development and helping relationships.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling
    A one-year part-time course providing a broadly based knowledge of psychodynamic theory and practice, which equips students to apply for the Diploma, the next course in the Psychodynamic Studies Masters Programme, or may be taken as a stand alone course.
  • Contemporary and Controversial Issues in Psychology
    This course will cover recent innovative and controversial studies from neuroscience and psychology. Students will benefit from understanding 'hot topics' in psychology and the wider implications of this research.
  • MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
    Students on the programme will have progressed from either the Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Cognitive Therapy Studies (ACTS).
  • Common Psychological Disorders
    This course is intended to provide further knowledge of a number of psychological disorders. Symptoms and causes of each disorder and key papers will be discussed in class and theories of causation and treatment will be explained.
