- Introduction to Psychology
Psychology is a truly fascinating subject. This course aims to provide a brief introduction to some of the elements of psychology that underpin our everyday lives. Students will explore human behaviour, and see examples of how our brains fool us!
- Introduction to Psychodynamic Counselling
Based on psychoanalytic theory, the course introduces key dynamic concepts and practices, including self reflection, applied to the understanding of emotional development and helping relationships.
- Brain and Behaviour
This course introduces the main topics of brain and behaviour covering neuroscience and biological psychology. Topics include basic brain neuroanatomy, learning, memory, language, consciousness, love, attraction, emotion, motivation, eating and sleeping.
- Cognitive therapy
Postgraduate courses up to doctoral level, for essential grounding in CBT, "training the trainers" and research.
- MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Students on the programme will have progressed from either the Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Cognitive Therapy Studies (ACTS).
