Overview
IntermediateHave completed a course near or at GCSE level. This group being fairly conversant with basic grammar and vocabulary will be able to participate in conversations of a factual type. Should feel confident in dealing with more elaborate descriptions and to role play a wider range of social situations. At this level you can expect to consolidate tenses like past, conditional and present subjunctive plus use a wider range of vocabulary.

Do you want to give your French a boost?Come and join us for an interactive and fun language weekend! Nine hours of face-to-face teaching in small group classes.
With five different levels to choose from, take this opportunity to become more confident by practising and consolidating your oral skills in French.

As we can’t interview every applicant, we are limiting the numbers to 12 in each group to allow for possible transfers should you find, or your tutor should suggest, that you are not at the right level for you, you can ask to be moved up or down a level. Just come and speak to the Course Director for the Intensive weekend.

Accommodation is not included in the price, but depending on availability it may be possible to stay at Rewley House on Friday and / or Saturday night. Please enquire at the time of booking for availability and prices.Accommodation in Rewley House is in modern, comfortably furnished rooms, all with tea/coffee making facilities, TV, telephone and private bath or shower rooms.

Dear Course Participant, Please note this course is being held at Ewert House, Ewert Place, Summertown, Oxford and NOT at Rewley House. If you plan to drive to Ewert House, private parking is provided and permits will be available from Ewert House Reception on Saturday (and not before), all you do is fill out the parking form with your car registration number at the Reception desk when you arrive and then go and place it on your dash board. Emergency contact for the weekend - Ewert House Reception: 01865 280800. On arrival at Ewert House on Saturday you will be given a folder which will contain some information you should read before the start of the course. Inside you’ll find: - a timetable for both days of the course explaining which room you’ll need to go to for each session; - an inside plan of Ewert House with the room numbers clearly marked on it; - an evaluation questionnaire; we’d be very grateful for any feedback to help us deliver the course that you really enjoy and can benefit from; - a name badge to wear throughout the weekend Should you find, or your tutor should suggest, that you are not at the right level for you, and wish to be moved up or down a level, please come and speak to Anna Di Stefano, Course Director for the Intensive weekend, after the first session on Saturday morning. You will find Anna in Lecture Room 5 where your teas and coffees will be served during the breaks. We wish you a successful and enjoyable time.
