Overview

The last hundred years have seen the lives of children profoundly affected by two world wars and numerous other civil conflicts and unrest, right up to the present day. Children’s lives have been changed for the better and the worse, in unexpected and unpredictable ways. This study day will examine the impact of war on children from boy soldiers and innocent victims to evacuees and asylum seekers. The day ties in with The Soldiers of Oxfordshire's ‘Children and War’ exhibition at The Oxfordshire Museum, Woodstock until June 2013). See www.sofo.org.uk for more details of the exhibition and on-line materials.
