Overview

To be held in conjunction with the WEA at the Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Altwood Road, Maidenhead, SL6 4PF A series of conflicts at the turn of the century, fought on a global scale, brought Imperialist rivalries to a new pitch. New imperial powers emerged (the USA and Japan), and old empires collapsed. Meanwhile, in different ways, the Boers of Southern Africa and the Boxers in China offered resistance to imperial domination. N.B. Fee includes tea and coffee. Lunch can be pre-ordered from the café-bar. Please note that consumption of your own food and drink is not permitted on the premises at Norden Farm.
