    Between 1763 and 1871 Germany experienced a political struggle as a united state emerged from the fragmentation of the past. This course examines the development of Germany into one of Europe’s most important and powerful states.
  • Elizabeth I (Online)
    This course will examine the life and reign of Elizabeth I, from her troubled childhood to the death of the aged Virgin Queen. But what do we really know of this iconic queen? Can her reign be accounted a success?
  • The Early Stuarts
    This course will examine the reigns of the early Stuart monarchs James I and Charles I, tracking the processes by which their subjects became so alienated from the crown that they ended up executing their monarch.
