    Students can use credit obtained from weekly classes, short online courses, linked day schools, practical weekends and attendance at the Oxford University Summer School for Adults to count towards gaining an award from the University of Oxford.
  • Wetland Archaeology of Prehistoric Britain
    Wetland environments offer unique preservation of organic material. This course focuses on the archaeological evidence from trackways, lake villages, boats and bog bodies from the Mesolithic to the Iron Age in Britain, Ireland and Scandinavia.
  • Roman Italy
    This course provides an overview of the development of Roman culture from the end of the Bronze Age to the Byzantine reconquest. Italy was a melting pot of different cultures and this course shows how they were fused together under the Roman Empire
  • Living in Neolithic Britain
    New excavation and fresh assessments of evidence for settlements, trackways, communal monuments and tombs, and for farming, mining, pottery production and trade contribute to our understanding of life in the British Isles c. 4000 – 2500 BC.
  • Shedding New Light on the Bronze Age of Europe
    The Bronze Age is a time of great innovation and marks a significant change from the preceding Neolithic. This course will consider the diversity of evidence and consider new interpretations in our understanding of this exciting archaeological period.
