The Mediterranean was the cradle of Greek and Roman ‘civilisations’ and this module will introduce you to the archaeology of the Ancient Mediterranean from the rise of Greece to the height of the Roman Empire. - Pompeii and the Cities of the Roman World (Online)
Pompeii, preserved by the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79, is one of the most well known archaeological sites in the world. Examining the evidence from Pompeii, enables us to learn much about urban living in the Roman world.
