Overview
What justifies an ethical code? Is death the end of a human being? How do I know that you aren’t imaginary? The kind of questions that philosophers ask cannot be answered simply by observing events in the physical world. But like scientists, philosophers are also inspired to find the truth and so, rejecting opinion and the rhetorical arts, they work on these intriguing questions by means of structured and rigorous argument.
