Below are a selection of courses that we are running, based on the subject of the course you were looking for:

  • Reality, Being and Existence: an Introduction to Metaphysics (Online)
An introduction to metaphysics, the most general investigation of reality. It has been at the centre of philosophy since the beginning of the western tradition in ancient Greece, and many of its concerns are the same as those of Plato and Aristotle.
  • Walter Benjamin
Walter Benjamin is one of the most fascinating intellectual figures of the twentieth century. This course will consider his cultural criticism, politics, philosophy of history, theory of art, analysis of modern urban life – and more!
  • Theory of Knowledge (Online)
The theory of knowledge is one of the most central areas of philosophy. In this online course students will cover the key issues in epistemology while also learning to think for themselves and develop their own answers to the core questions in this area.
  • The Meaning of Life
What do we mean when we talk about the meaning of life? Is your life meaningless if God doesn't exist? Is it up to you what meaning to give to your life or are there more objective standards? What sort of life have philosophers considered meaningful?
  • A Romp through the Foothills of Formal Logic
Marianne’s lectures in Critical Reasoning have been hugely popular. So much so that people have asked her if she would take them just a bit further and introduce them to formal logic. This is precisely what Marianne intends to do over this weekend.
