Below are a selection of courses that we are running, based on the subject of the course you were looking for:

  • Further Music Theory
This is a practical course for those interested in gaining knowledge and understanding of classical harmony.
  • The Bach Cantatas
Bach’s church cantatas contain some of his greatest music: immensely varied, they combine supreme technical mastery with an at times romantic intensity of expression. The variety of ways Bach uses to heighten the meaning of the text will be examined
  • Aspects of Wagner
Although Wagner’s music dramas are arguably some of the greatest works of art conceived by a single individual, they are also some of the most controversial.
  • Opera in Repertory
Each week we will study an opera that is currently in repertory, tracing the opera's evolution from its (usually) literary origins through to its production on stage.
  • Great Jazz Pianists of the 1920’s and 30’s
Some of the greatest jazz pianists such as Duke Ellington, Fats Waller and Earl Hines came to prominence during the 1920s. They and others dominated the style of jazz piano playing known as ‘stride’. Come and explore this uplifting music!
