  • The Pianists' Workshop III
    A practical class open to players of all levels. Piano technique, repertoire and interpretation will be explored in the context of workshops in which all students will have regular opportunities to play. Students may join this class in any term.
  • The Pianists' Workshop I
    A practical class open to players of all levels. Piano technique, repertoire and interpretation will be explored in the context of workshops in which all students will have regular opportunities to play. Students may join this class in any term.
  • Musical Analysis - Baroque to Classical
    Studying one work each week, a wide range of music will be analysed - concentrating on works from the Baroque and Classical periods. Different works may require slightly different approaches but common principles of analysis will be developed.
  • Aspects of Wagner
    Although Wagner’s music dramas are arguably some of the greatest works of art conceived by a single individual, they are also some of the most controversial.
  • Perceiving Music
    This day school will explore musical perception, starting with the physiological nature of hearing, moving on to the perception of pattern in music and, finally, discussing the nature of musical understanding.
