This lecture series will look at the culture, society and politics that surrounded Schubert for his thirty-one years as a citizen of this this great city. In association with the Oxford Lieder Festival
- The Beatles, Popular Music and Sixties Britain
Learn how the Beatles made their music, and trace its development from simple first recordings to the multi-track Abbey Road. Their music is contextualized with songs by other British groups of the period, poetry, journalism, and key events.
