About the Graduate School - Master's-level courses
Choosing a postgraduate course is a significant life decision and an investment in your future.
Oxford University is a world-class educational institution renowned both for its teaching and research record, and for its first-rate libraries and research facilities.
A wide range of programmes
At Continuing Education we offer over 30 part-time Master's level degrees and courses in the arts, social sciences, health care and biomedical sciences. Our courses are unique because they have been specifically developed to meet the needs and interests of part-time students and are designed to enable those with career and family commitments to study successfully at Oxford.
We welcome high-calibre applications from graduates from all age-groups and walks of life, from all stages in their professional and academic careers and from countries all over the world.
A high calibre of teaching
We strongly believe that postgraduate education should be enjoyable and enriching as well as stimulating and career-enhancing. Our courses are academically rigorous and challenging, as you would expect at Oxford, but they are also flexible and innovative in their programme structure and delivery, enabling students to both study at a distance and receive face-to-face teaching and supervision.
Programmes are taught by research-active academics and subject specialists who combine subject expertise with experience of teaching and supervising students studying part-time and at a distance. They provide an unrivalled opportunity to study alongside committed and enthusiastic students in classes and in online forums. We provide support and training to enable students to study effectively at postgraduate level and encourage participation in the vibrant social, cultural and sporting life of the colleges and the university, particularly during residences in Oxford.
