Come work with us
The Department is an engaging place to work. We're one of the University's largest departments, and one of the most diverse in terms of people, job roles and opportunities.
Academic staff include full and part-time lecturers and tutors who support our students in over 700 courses across a wide range of subject areas.
Administrative and support staff occupy a wide range of full and part-time jobs within the Department: programme management, research, finance, catering, hospitality, clerical, IT, facilities maintenance, housekeeping and many more.
In addition to the University's comprehensive benefits for staff, the Department's full-service facilities offer convenient amenities for those who work here. Our on-site restaurant serves lunch daily and is available to all staff members at reduced rates. Our library, with a comprehensive lending collection and access to the larger Oxford University library system, is also open to all staff of the Department.
The Department's three facilities are all within walking distance of Oxford's shops, museums and other attractions.
