Short courses for the public

History of Art and Architechure aims at an historical understanding of the origins of artefacts within world cultures, asking about the circumstances of their making, their makers, the media used, the functions of the images and objects, their critical reception and – not least – their subsequent history.

The Department has a strong offering in these subjects, which can be studied from short courses (many of which can be studied for credit) up to degree level.
