Weekly learning

Join us in Oxford or online

Studied on a weekly schedule, usually over one or two terms, these include courses that meet in Oxford, online courses with live-time sessions, and flexible online courses.

Most courses are taught at undergraduate level, require coursework and may be studied for credit.

Our weekly learning courses are offered in three different formats:

  • In-person in Oxford – these courses have no online components. Teaching takes place at Ewert House in Summertown or at Rewley House in central Oxford.
  • Online – live’ courses are taught completely online and have scheduled, interactive tutor-led online meetings to attend, along with pre-recorded lectures and course materials. Each course includes an introductory meeting to introduce you to the online platform.
  • Online – flexible’ courses are taught fully online but have no live-time meetings – so you can study when it suits you at any time of the day or night. Teaching takes place in a virtual learning environment, with students and tutors interacting in online text-based forums. The forums are not live and students can add their comments at any time during the week.

For our ‘online – live’ and in-person weekly classes, enrolments may close up to one week prior to the start date of the course. For our 'online – flexible' courses, enrolment can take place a day or two before the course begins if places are available.

Don't have time to do reading or coursework outside of the classroom? Then take a look at our lecture series – weekly lectures you can enjoy online or at Rewley House, Oxford.
