Prokofiev - An Artist's Life in Four Chapters

The pungent harmonies and extraordinary lyricism of Prokofiev's music make him one of the most original composers of the twentieth century. His prolific output includes seven symphonies, seven operas, five piano concertos, nine piano sonatas and eight ballets, including the much-loved Romeo and Juliet.

This day school will explore his life and work, drawing largely on his diaries that have only quite recently been published in English.
