Lorraine Johnson

Dr Lorraine Johnson was awarded her PhD by the Institute of Employment Research, University of Warwick, in July 2020.  Her research investigated the nature of employment agencies and other intermediaries operating in the UK’s labour market. Her thesis went to on classify different types of labour market intermediaries and made several UK policy recommendations. 

Previously, Lorraine has been employed in a number of strategic and management roles in both public and private sector organisations, supporting their recruitment and early career development strategies. In addition, she spent several years teaching in Japan where she gained a Masters in Inclusive Education, awarded by the Open University.  Since completing her PhD, she has been awarded a career fellowship with the University of Warwick’s Institute of Advanced Studies and completed several commercial research assignments.
