Explore the digital revolution’s impact on international security. We will examine how the internet and hackers evolved, and their impact on espionage, surveillance, terrorism, and warfare. We will consider how cyber security is achieved in a constantly mutating technical environment. Drawing on historic and contemporary case studies, we will chart how international security is evolving in the digital era. We will visit the historic Bletchley Park, home to Britain’s legendary WW2 codebreakers.
Whilst our course examines a technical subject matter, this is not a technical syllabus - you require only an interest in international/cyber security.
This course is part of the Oxford University Summer School for Adults (OUSSA) programme.
