Accommodation - Overview
Rewley House accommodation has been rated as 4-star campus accommodation under the Visit Britain National Quality Assurance Standard.
Bedrooms
The Department is able to accommodate up to 70 guests in our facilities in Wellington Square in central Oxford. Our bedrooms range from our standard accommodation to our recently refurbished Victorian building with 9 superior bedrooms.
All our bedrooms are en suite and decorated to a high standard and we offer single, double and twin accommodation. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities, Freeview television, and Free WiFi. A coin operated laundry is also available.
Wellington square is a short walk to Oxford town centre and to the lovely neighbourhood of Jericho, where you will find a selection of restaurants and shops to suit most tastes and interests.
Smoking is not permitted in the bedrooms or inside any departmental buildings.
Disabled Visitors
There is a special access ramp and a self-contained suite on the ground floor, equipped for use by people with mobility problems with an adjoining room for carers. There are two disabled parking bays provided by Oxford City Council on Wellington Square: these are not specifically for disabled users of Rewley House, but are there to be used if they are available.
Common Room and Bar
Our Common Room overlooks our quiet, private courtyard. It has comfortable seating, and selection of complimentary newspapers are available for you to read at your leisure.
The Common Room has a fully licensed bar which is open daily between 12pm and 2pm, and again between 6pm and 10.30pm.
Dining Facilities
The main dining room seats up to 84 people with places for up to 48 more in the adjacent Acland room. A full meal service is available daily and other functions such as formal dinners and receptions can be arranged.
Full English and Continental breakfast is available and are served in the Dining Room from 8.00am to 9.00am daily.
Lunch is served from 12.30 - 1.30pm daily and a typical lunch menu consists of three courses. A vegetarian option is always available, but those with more specific dietary requirements should contact the Residential Centre Telephone: 01865 270362, Fax: 01865 280780, to discuss alternative menu options.
Dinner is available from 7.00pm most evenings, though it is advisable to confirm availability. Please see our dining page for full information and menus.
