Business services - E-learning development & delivery
The Department has an e-learning development and delivery team, called 'TALL' - Technology-Assisted Lifelong Learning. Established in 1996, TALL specialise in developing high quality online courses for the Higher Education sector.
TALL developed some of the first fully online learning courses available in the UK and since then has created a wide portfolio of courses for the University of Oxford and other institutions, including DWP, Sun, Oracle, and the University of York.
The TALL team offers consultancy in the following areas:
- Design and delivery of E-learning materials
- E-learning pedagogy
- Multimedia development
- Video/audio
- XML for e-learning
- Standards for e-learning
- Graphic design for effective e-learning
- Accessibility
- Usability
- Project management
- E-learning for developing countries
The team can also act as consultants to advise on e-learning or technical projects and to explore the options that the Internet offers for research, teaching and learning, collaboration and dissemination of information.
