Most of our short courses are studied on a weekly schedule, usually over one or two terms. They are taught at undergraduate level, require coursework and may be studied for credit.
The course are offered in three different formats:
- In-person in Oxford - these courses have no online components
- ‘Online – live’ courses are taught completely online and have scheduled, live-time meetings to attend. Live-time discussion and Q&A take place via an online platform. Some courses may have recorded lectures to enjoy.
- ‘Online – flexible’ courses are taught fully online but have no live-time meetings – so you can study when it suits you at any time of the day or night. Teaching takes place in a virtual learning environment, with students and tutors interacting in online textbased forums. The forums are not live and students can add their comments at any time during the week.
For our ‘online – live’ and in-person courses that have weekly meetings, enrolments may close up to one week prior to the start date of the course. For our 'online - flexible' courses, enrolment can take place a day or two before the course begins.
