Report backed by House of Commons Treasury Select Commission

Professor Jonathan Michie's report, from the Kellogg College Centre for Mutual and Employee-owned Business, for the Building Societies Association on 'Converting failed financial institutions into mutual organisations' reveals a strong case for converting failed banks into mutual organisations. It urges the Government to consider seriously returning Northern Rock bank to the mutual sector.
