Courses
The Black Death of 1348-9 is widely acknowledged to be one of the great historical turning points. This course explores the impact of plague on later-medieval English society, and includes a field trip to a deserted medieval village.
This course opens up the historical development of rural Oxfordshire beyond the ‘dreaming spires’. We explore centuries of collaboration and conflict to understand the county’s changing landscape from its medieval foundations to 1850.
